METRO China Launches Spring 2013 Import Wine Festival
Shanghai China, 16 May 2013——METRO Cash & Carry, the international leader in self-service wholesale, today announced the launch of its Spring 2013 Import Wine Festival at METRO stores nationwide. The four weeks festival, which aims to promote wine culture and consumption in China, is offering over 450 varieties of import wines, with special discounts of 20% off available during the festival’s first three days.
Since the introduction of METRO China’s wine festival in 2006, it has now become a biannual event in China offering a wide array of wines directly sourced from top wine-growing regions across the globe, including historic Southern France, sunny Australia and New Zealand, Italy where European wine culture roots, charming Spain, as well as New World countries including South Africa, Chile and Argentina, highlighting the best of the world’s winemaking traditions.
Storing an assortment of top-quality rare wines from famous chateaus, METRO stores also feature a wine humidor, a special wine cellar dedicated to Grand cru vintages, including Château Desmirail Margaux, Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Beychevelle, and Château Margaux, etc. With year-round temperature control of 15℃ and ideal humidity settings, it is an excellent environment for fine wines.
